Claire Taylor is best known for her lush sculptural embroidery, constructed by encrusting and intertwining lost objects with thousands upon thousands of mossy, delicate french knots. Claire's interest in constructing this kind of work began when she attended the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, where she received her BFA in Fibers. Since her time there, she has migrated to many cities, including New York, Seattle and Chicago, but now lives and works out of her studio in Menasha, Wisconsin. Claire has had the opportunity to show her sculptures in a number of places, including Pittsburg, Seattle, New York, Baltimore and Brockton, Massachusetts.
